spurtle care guide

This spurtle is made of Canadian FSC hardwood maple that is non-toxic, has no characteristic odour, is resistant to splitting and is highly suitable for culinary use. Before using, wipe it with food grade Mineral Oil on a paper towel and allow it to rest overnight.  This will protect and prepare it. After each use, rinse in cool water and wipe with a clean, soft cloth. Avoid soaking in food or water for any extended period of time - this will maintain the integrity and longevity of your spurtle.  To stir lump free porridge, batter, soup or stew, hold it like a pencil, with your fingers just below the ergonomically designed top handle portion, so that you have the logo in full view.
